Originally from Mexico City, Carolina Tangassi wanted to be an artist as long as she could remember. As a profession, she studied at the National School of Plastic Arts and later sought to broaden her pictorial studies with master Gilberto Aceves Navarro. She learned engraving and printing techniques with Jesús Martínez and Joel Rendón.
 

Carolina Tangassi is a contemporary artist whose career has been prolific and successful. Her work has been exhibited in Mexico and Italy, forming part of important private collections. She has participated in more than 40 individual and collective exhibitions, including the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros, Museo de la Ciudad de México and the Pinacoteca de Volterra in Italy. Likewise, hes work has been published in books and magazines of national circulation.
 

Creator mainly of medium and large format paintings, she has also made sculptures, engravings, drawings and murals. The energy of her compositions shows a total control over the technique. Her paintings are full of marked strokes and color combinations that transmit an emotional force that is aesthetic and not aggressive, luminous and provocative but not attacking. Signs of an artist committed to her vocation and disciplined with her craft.
